Twelve [Digipak] Brand New

Twelve is Patti Smith’s first album of new studio recordings since trampin’, her Columbia Records debut, was released in 2004, and is the artist’s first-ever full-length collection of songs originally created by other performers. Smith is continuing her writing and art projects and will embark in May on a world tour with her band.

Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” is about as left-field as it gets, with the rest of Twelve given over to things like Hendrix’s “Are You Experienced?”, George Harrison’s “Within You, Without You,” Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” and Stevie Wonder’s “Pastime Paradise.”
